Updated Eligibility Criteria for IBPS CWE PO/MT (Nationality, Age, Educational Qualification)

Nationality:

      A candidate for IBPS Common Written Exam (CWE) for Probationary Officers/Management Trainees must be
  • a citizen of India or
  • a subject of Nepal or
  • a subject of Bhutan
  • a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with an intention to permanently settling in India or
  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East Africa country of Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
  • provided that a candidate belonging to the above categories except the first one shall be a candidate in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Age limit for IBPS  PO/MT CWE:

An applicant must be between the age group of 20-30 years normally as on 1st July of the year (may differ from time to time).

Educational Qualification required to write IBPS's CWE for PO/MT:

  • Degree (graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India or any other equivalent degree recognized by the Central Government. 
  • Educational qualification should be obtained on or before the last date of the online registration. 
  • For instance, if the last date is on 01-08-2016, the candidate should have passed the degree examination on or before 01-08-2016.
  •  Proper document of having passed the degree examination on or before the date mentioned should be produced at the time of interview.
