Measures of Central Tendency - Measures of Common Central Tendency - Mean and mode; Split Values - Quarters, Decimals, Percentages.
Measures of Distribution - Common Measures Distribution - Range, Quarterly Deviation, Mean Deviation and Standard Deviation; Relative Distribution Measures.
Time, Skewness and Kurtosis - Different types of time and their relations; meaning of skewness and kurtosis; different measures of skewness and kurtosis.
Correlation and regression - scatter plots; simple correlation coefficients; simple regression lines; Spearman rank correlations; Measures of attribute relationships; multiple regression; multiple and partial correlations.
Probability theory — meaning what will happen; more details on what will happen; legal consequences; combination; independent work; Bayes' theorem.
Random Variables and Probability Distributions – Random Variables; Probability Functions; Expectation and Variance of Random Variables; High Moments of Random Variables; Binomial, Poisson, Normal and Exponential Distributions; Union of Two Random Distributions.
Sampling Theory – Sampling population and samples concepts; absence and statistical, sampling and non-sampling errors; probabilistic and nonprobability sampling techniques (simple random sampling, stratified sampling, multistage sampling, multistage sampling, group sampling, systematic sampling, systematic sampling and quota sampling); sampling distribution (reported only); order size.
Statistical Inference - Point and Range Estimation, Properties of Good Estimators, Estimation Methods (Moments, Maximum Likelihood, Least Squares), Hypothesis Tests, Basic Concepts of Testing, Small and 24 Large Sample Tests, Z, Chi based tests -square and F statistics, confidence intervals.
Analysis of Variance – Analysis of one-way and two-way categorical data.
Time Series Analysis – Components of time series identify different patterns with different methods, measure seasonal variation with different methods.
Index Numbers – Meaning of Index Numbers, Problems in Index Number Construction, Types of Index Numbers, Different Formulas, Base Shifting and Combining Index Numbers, Values of Index Numbers, Use of Index Numbers.
